Greetings from Aggieland! I am pleased that you are interested in learning more about the Aggie Parent & Family Advisory Council! As a family member of a Texas A&M Student, you are an important part of our University community, and we welcome your active involvement here on campus.
The Aggie Parent & Family Advisory Council seeks to continually improve the support provided to families by New Student & Family Programs and across the university. Among other duties, the Aggie Parent & Family Advisory Council recommends programming activities for New Student & Family Programs, provides feedback about University programs, discusses issues that are of concern to family members, recommends content for publications, participates in New Student & Family Programs events, and assists with the recruitment of new Aggie Parent & Family Advisory Council members. Council members are expected to make at least two trips to campus each year for meetings and events. ** Fall 2020 Meeting will be held either in College Station with an option to attend virtually via Zoom or entirely via Zoom.
The Aggie Parent & Family Advisory Council consists of family members of full-time undergraduate students who are in good standing at Texas A&M. It is our intention to select parent members who represent our diverse student population. In order to ensure continuity on the Council, members are asked to make at least a two-year commitment however, you may serve on the Council for your Aggie’s entire undergraduate career.
